Francisco Simmons was born in San Miguel de Allende, where he and his younger sister were adopted by their American parents at the age of three. Proudly Mexican, Francisco brings over 31 years of firsthand experience living and working in this vibrant community — offering a unique perspective that bridges local insight with an understanding of the needs and expectations of foreign clients.
Having grown up surrounded by real estate, with his father, Lane Simmons, as one of San Miguel’s most respected real estate brokers and his mother a key part of the business, Francisco developed a deep appreciation for honesty, professionalism, and service.
Over the years, many of RE/MAX Colonial’s clients have been foreigners referred through trusted relationships. Francisco now focuses on guiding clients who are exploring San Miguel — providing clarity, honest advice, and reliable information long before they arrive, and continuing to assist them well after they settle in.
He carries forward his father’s philosophy:
“If there’s anything about living or buying here that could be a deal breaker, the sooner you know, the better.”

Francisco Simmons nació en San Miguel de Allende, donde fue adoptado junto con su hermana menor por sus padres estadounidenses cuando tenía tres años. Orgullosamente mexicano, Francisco aporta más de 31 años de experiencia directa viviendo y trabajando en esta vibrante comunidad, ofreciendo una perspectiva única que une el conocimiento local con la comprensión de las necesidades de los clientes extranjeros.
Creció rodeado del mundo inmobiliario: su padre, Lane Simmons, fue uno de los corredores de bienes raíces más respetados de San Miguel de Allende, y su madre ha sido una parte esencial del negocio. Desde joven, Francisco aprendió la importancia de la honestidad, el profesionalismo y la atención personalizada.
A lo largo de los años, muchos de los clientes de RE/MAX Colonial han sido extranjeros recomendados por antiguos clientes y amigos. Hoy, Francisco se especializa en asesorar a quienes desean conocer o mudarse a San Miguel, brindando claridad, consejos honestos e información confiable mucho antes de su llegada, y acompañándolos también después de establecerse.
